It is June and a time to acclaim LGBTQ+ community throughout the world! There are many cities and countries throughout the world that are LGBTQ+ friendly and where Pride parades and celebrations are taking place such as New York, Paris, Taipei, Melbourne and Rio de Janeiro. Want to go out of town to celebrate Pride...there are many hotels, cruises and restaurants at all 8 continents (yes, we officially have 8 continents as of 2017). Here are 8 LGBTQ+ welcoming eateries to dine at throughout the world!
NORTH AMERICA

San Francisco is a world-famous destination well known for its LGBTQ+ advocacy. Brenda's French Soul Food is an eatery that serves Cajun and Creole food. Brenda's is also vegetarian friendly and has dishes for people who prefer not to eat meat. The restaurant is LGBTQ-owned, woman-owned and Asian-owned. Welcome to Café Manhattan, a LGBTQ+ welcoming restaurant that first opened its doors in 1994, the longest standing LGBTQ+ restaurant in Cape Town, South Africa. Café Manhattan is a steakhouse with indoor and outdoor seating and is open 7 days a week serving late lunches, dinner and late-night options closing at 11PM Sunday-Thursday and 12AM Friday and Saturday South Africa Standard Time. Welcome to the melting pot of diversity that is Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. The KL has various gastronomy options including Sao Nam, which serves Vietnamese food in Kuala Lumpur. Our final restaurant is at newly confirmed continent, Zealandia. Zealandia is located near Wellington, New Zealand and was officially named in 2017. 94% of the continent's landmass is submerged under the Pacific Ocean. Zealandia is easily accessible from Wellington, which is well known for its welcoming LGBTQ+ culture. Visitors can fly to Wellington to take a tour of the continent. Zealandia offers a cafe called Rātā Cafe which offers New Zealand food with amazing views of the continent and organic food from their on-site garden. The cafe is open 7 days a week, in exception to Christmas, 9AM-4PM, with kitchen closing daily at 2PM New Zealand Standard Time.
